When you grow, you pay per user, billed yearly, with support included, and the price per user goes down as you add more. Schools pay only for the people who build apps. Apps are unlimited on every plan.

Buying online, you pick the number of users and yearly or monthly billing, and pay right away. Up to 100 users; for more, talk to us. Already have a licence? Change the number of users, download your licence or see your invoices on the licence portal.

The free plan needs no key
Every installation starts with a 30-day trial. After it, an installation with 1 app builder and up to 5 users simply goes on for free, without a licence key and without contacting us. This is how it works from version 0.9.1; on an older version, email yannick@kobozo.eu for a free licence key and paste it under Admin, Settings, Licence.

Questions
What is an app builder?
The person responsible for an app. In the product this is called the app's owner. Every app has exactly one, a real colleague who signs in with your company login. The app builder publishes the app, hears when it stops answering and approves proposed changes. On the free plan all apps share one app builder. On a paid plan every colleague can build and own their own apps. At a school, an app builder is always a staff member, never a student.
Who counts as a user?
A unique colleague who signed in through cyantula at least once in the last 30 days. One person counts once, however many apps they open. A colleague's AI agent counts as that colleague, and service accounts do not count. Visitors of an app you made public on purpose do not sign in, so they do not count either.
What happens at user 6 on the free plan?
To add a sixth user you move to a paid licence. The smallest covers 10 users for €600 per year, with unlimited app builders and Standard support.
How do schools pay?
Per app builder: €12 per month, billed yearly, from 10 app builders (€1,440 per year) and then in blocks of 5. Students, teachers and staff who only use apps are free and unlimited. Your admin marks which accounts are students, for example with a separate student login domain, and a student account can never become an app builder. We check once, when you sign the contract, that you are a recognised school.
What is included in support?
Every paid licence, including the school licence, includes Standard support: onboarding by a person, email support in English and Dutch during Belgian working hours (Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:00, except Belgian public holidays), a first answer by the next working day, and help with updates and rollbacks. Priority support adds a first answer within 4 working hours, a named contact person and a quarterly check-in. The free plan comes with documentation and security updates.
Does cyantula need to contact your servers to check the licence?
No. The licence key is a small signed file that cyantula checks on your own server, so it works without an internet connection.
Can I run it myself, or do you host it?
Both. cyantula installs on your own server with one command, on Proxmox or any Debian or Ubuntu machine with Docker. If you prefer not to run a server, Kobozo can host it for you from €51 per month.
