The setup wizard and the licence

First login: the setup wizard

Open http://<machine>:8080/setup and paste the setup token from the installer, or from cyantula setup-token. Until setup is done, opening / or /login sends you there.

1. Addresses. The portal address and the apps domain.
2. Who may sign in. Internal accounts: turn Google off, turn Internal accounts on, and put your own email under Administrators. Or Google: a Google OAuth client plus the Workspace domains that may sign in. The redirect URI to register at Google is https://<portal>/auth/callback. On the same step you choose what newcomers may do: only use what they are given (Member, preselected) or also make and share apps (Publisher).
3. Five steps you can skip and come back to: GitHub, the Anthropic key, email, Slack, and how traffic arrives (a Cloudflare token, or certificates for ports 80 and 443).
4. The licence. Paste your free licence key here, or later under Admin, Settings, Licence. Email yannick@kobozo.eu to get one.
5. Finish. The wizard asks your browser to reach https://<portal>/api/setup/reach and warns you when nothing answers there, when the certificate is refused, or when another server answers. You can finish anyway, for example while DNS is still on its way.
6. With internal accounts, finishing shows a one-time invite link (it is also printed in the gateway log). Open it, choose a password and enrol an authenticator app. That account is the first administrator. You invite the rest from Admin.

Branding (your own name, colours and logo) is not in the wizard. It has its own page: Admin, Settings, Branding.

Locked out?

As root on the machine, cyantula reset-admin you@example.com makes that address an administrator, turns internal accounts on if they were off, clears that person's password and authenticator, and prints a fresh invite.

The licence

The free licence key covers 1 app builder, unlimited apps and up to 5 users. Kobozo issues licence keys by hand for now: email yannick@kobozo.eu and you get one. You can install and finish setup first; paste the key in the last step of the setup wizard or later under Admin, Settings, Licence.

To buy a bigger licence, use Buy online on that same page. You pay by card or SEPA, and the licence arrives in the portal by itself at the next check-in.

A new installation runs a 30-day trial from the moment setup finishes. After it, up to 5 users with 1 app builder go on for free, without a licence. Above that, every app keeps running, but nothing new can be published or deployed until you enter a licence or switch people off down to the free plan. Towards the end of the trial, the Licence page shows how to go on: the licence that fits, with its price, or the free plan.

Ask for a licence by email

1. Under Admin, Settings, Licence (or in the last step of the setup wizard), fill in Company or school, Contact for the licence and Contact e-mail. The e-mail address defaults to the first administrator's.
2. Copy the licence request code and send it to Kobozo. It holds who the licence is for, this installation and how many people use it today. cyantula sends nothing itself.
3. Kobozo sends back a .lic file. Choose it in Licence file, drop it on the box, or paste its whole contents. A renewal is a new file put over the old one.

One licence covers one installation: the master and every worker it runs.
